STEPHONIKA W. KAYE

Writer / Director / Exec Producer

Stephonika is a founding member of Bleeding Edge Productions, and has commonly been referred to by the group as the "glue that holds us together," having been the one to bring the team together for the first short they filmed, "Should've Gone to the Concert."

Kaye has a dedicated passion to the Legend of Zelda franchise, having grown up playing it and studying its core values, canon, and fan theories. She literally wrote the book on Twilight Princess, having adapted it into a full length novel.  She has been writing stories since before she knew how to spell, and she has dedicated the last ten years to the pursuit of filmmaking.

She attended Ohio University with a focus in screenwriting, wrote and directed her first sci-fi feature in her senior year ("The Nameless Cryst"), and has worked professionally since 2013.  She has worked primarily as a PA and set dresser for films such as "The Tribunal," "Carol," "Miles Ahead," and "Funhouse Massacre."  She also enjoys working volunteer on her friends' projects such as "Reaching Out" and "Kill Game."

She has directed six of Bleeding Edge's productions, including the zombie comedy "The Coughing Dead," apocalypse drama "Rising Seas," and sci-fi drama "Echoes."

Whevener she is not on set, she can be found playing videos games, reading fantasy novels and books on science, in the cinema, or in the editing chair perfecting her last project.
