MARC ALTIMUS

Propsmaker

  • Facebook Classic

With his love of sci-fi and fantasy, Marc has become quite an expert propsmaker for film in a short time, and was hand selected to craft most of the props for "Legacy."  He's helped on small film's here and there, but his first true credit as props maker was for 2015's horror comedy "The Funhouse Massacre," which starred Robert Englund.

Outside of film he enjoys all things geek.  Some of his prime for-fun prop adventures have been steampunk related, as well as a freeze-ray for his Dr. Horrible cosplay.  He delights in crafting miniatures he calls steamscapes.  All of his pieces are refined and highly detailed.  He first got the bug for his work when watching a deadmau5 video online and had the urge to recreate the little mau5 head that lit up.  He accepts commissions through his company LEaD the Way.

As a long time fan of Zelda, he is very eager to get his hands on crafting a Deku Shield, rupees, accessory pieces, as well as many other odds and ends.

"I met Marc on the set of Funhouse Massacre, and he's just a fun, wacky ball of non-stop energy.  He's so meticulous in the detail he puts into his items, and I can't get over just how beautiful and authentic all of his pieces look.  This guy is at the heart of geekdom and such a welcome addition to the crew." -- Stephonika W.
