JASON ERVIN

Special FX Make Up Artist

With fifteen years of professional experience in the independent film market in Ohio, Jason Ervin has become one of the most sought after make up artists and the number one choice for a Zelda film, which will boast live action gorons and zoras.

He studied at NKU and took private studies in Los Angeles.  His skills range from special effects, beauty, stage, makeup demos, and prop work, and he has even taught make up classes.  He travels all over the U.S. to work with other great makeup and hair artists.

His first film was "Home Free" in 2001 with Greg Newberry. Recently, he has worked on indie projects such as "Jacob's Paradox," which is garnering a lot of attention on the festival circuit this year, as well as "Clever Girl," a popular ten-episode web series about a serial-killing couple.  Aside from film work, Jason is kept constantly busy doing special effects and glamour make up for photoshoots.

And now, he awaits the call to adventure to work (mainly) to create and apply prosthetics for the goron Darunia, and the zora Ruto, among others.

"I first met Jason when he made me all wounded and bloody for Clever Girl's first episode.  I spent a long time in that chair and thus a

good while getting to know him.  Just from that first night working with him, I knew he was someone I wanted to work with for a long time coming.  He's always my first choice when make up is concerned and I just always hope he might have time in his busy schedule." -- Stephonika W. Kaye
